Together, Let Us Pray for….

• The physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the Hope Eternal Family Tree. For our Hope Eternal brothers and sisters that are homebound – for health reasons or due to the pandemic.

• Our nation, our citizens, and our leaders. May our words and deeds be reflective of the love of Jesus.

• Bishop Park & the Cabinet of the Susquehanna Conference during appointment sessions

• Wisdom, knowledge, and discernment for Mayor Hetrick, the Newport Borough Council members, and the Newport Borough Office personnel as they lead our community during these unexpected and unprecedented times.

• We pray for the pastors and congregations throughout our community of Newport – Methodists, Lutherans, Catholic, Jewish, Muslims, Church of God and more. We are certainly different in many ways, but we remain bonded as children of the Lord. We pray for strength and endurance for all members of God’s Holy family during this global pandemic. May all nations come together to live out the will of the Lord.

• Emergency personnel of our community: Police, Fire, EMS, and ER Staff and for all serving in the military

• Continual strength to area agencies as they serve those in our community in need, including but not limited to: Join Hands Ministry, Mission Central, Bread of Life & the Perry County Food Bank

• Global peace from terrorism, including social and political injustices of all forms

• Continual strength to local business owners, retail employees, grocery employees, and all in our community that interact with the public during the pandemic. May they be empowered by the Holy Spirit with patience and endurance, health and comfort.

• Physical, mental, and spiritual needs of all children in the Newport School District. For the teachers, school staff, volunteers, bus drivers and children/youth of the elementary, middle school and high school.

• We pray for the mental well-being of our family and friends experiencing emotional pain and suffering due to the pandemic. May WE find strength and wisdom in the Holy Spirit to reach out to be the ear to hear the cries of those suffering.

• We pray for those near and far that have tested positive for COVID-19 and for families that have lost loved ones in this pandemic. May the healing powers of the Holy Spirit be upon those suffering during this global pandemic.

• For the Body of Christ known as Hope Eternal, those that freely share their gifts behind the scenes to assure mission and ministry is ongoing in the name of the Lord. Prayers for wisdom and discernment in knowing the will of the Lord as we reach out into the community spreading the Gospel message.

• Those that have not yet welcomed Jesus Christ in their hearts and lives; may WE draw strength from the Holy Spirit as we allow the Light of Christ to shine through us, welcoming new brothers and sisters to the Body of Christ.

We would love to have you join us!
